Bodisen President Receives Award, Company Affirms Year 2006 Sales and Earnings Guidance

Bodisen Issues Company Updates

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 18, 2006--Bodisen Biotech, Inc., (AMEX:BBC, London AIM:BODI, website: /), the first China based environmentally friendly bio fertilizer company listed on a US stock exchange, and dually listed in London, announced today that the Company's President Mr. Bo Chen received an "Outstanding Manager" award for exceptional performance from the local government. The award recognizes excellence in managerial capabilities and contribution to the local economy.

Bodisen expects to report record first quarter financial results (ended March 31, 2006) before May 15, 2006.

Mr. Bo Chen, President of Bodisen commented: "During the first quarter, Bodisen experienced strong customer demand. As a result, the Company substantially increased its total staff to approximately 900. Product sales during the 2nd quarter are well on target. Company updates:

Bodisen has two production facilities located approximately half a mile apart. The local government has recently started building a new road in front of the main entrance to the company's older facility under the city's new urban planning initiatives. Although the inconvenience has lasted over a month and may continue for several months at the front entrance, construction is not expected to affect the company's product inventory and shipment operations which are processed at the facility's back entrance and the company reaffirmed its 2006 sales and earnings guidance.

Bodisen's Chairman and CEO Karen Qiong Wang is taking temporary sick leave for a periodic follow up medical check up as a result of a surgery performed at the end of last year. The Company does not expect interruption of its business operations during her short absence. Mr. Bo Chen will continue to lead the Company during Ms. Wang's medical check up.
